The Brotherhood of Light

The Rescue Ship of Souls

Let us now describe the Rescue Ship of Souls where the Brotherhood uses vessels similar to earthly sailing ships to search the areas of the inners worlds containing souls who have recently died. This is done in an effort to find and bring on board those that could benefit from their spiritual counselling and help.

A member of the Brotherhood describes the Ship of Souls:

There is interesting craftsmanship in the design of the first Ship of Souls and now we have a few different ships. The largest one has graceful Art Nouveau curves with swirls of light and dark wood. The figurehead is an angel of compassion with head bent, eyes closed, and arms that are crossed over the chest. The wings curve back into the sides of the ship. The sales are white edged in blue and tan

There are dark velvet benches for rescued souls, where they may rest and recover.

The ships ride the winds of karma. We can have a navigational theme [or goal]. As examples, the ship may search for souls wrongly accused, souls who have suffered for the sins of others, souls of unappreciated artists, musicians and writers, or souls who spent their lives trying to be spiritual [in difficult circumstances],

The ships ride the karmic winds in which many newly dead souls are buffeted. Souls are colored by their passions with dark souls who are slaves of hatred, desire, and ignorance, blue souls trying hard but unsuccessful, and gold souls hopeful but imprisoned by the malice of others.

Sometimes we seek bright souls that were compassionate but were betrayed. At other times we rescue a colorful mosaic of variously colored souls.

We call out over the waters with voices and songs that carry over the wind and waves. We may turn the ship into a lighthouse so souls may have an orientation point instead of feeling lost. We send ladders and nets of braided light and the souls that are attracted and suitably pure are brought on board.

They are usually confused but they have the inturiive sense that we represent safety and help.

When the seats [on the ship] are full, we return [to the lodge].

We bring souls to the healing center to get rid of the most obvious traumas and unhappy memories. Then we do counseling for the future finding new lives of incarnation [for these souls].

Most souls have poor spiritual sight. When they die, the chaos of the soul detaching itself from the physical body is taken over by the darkness of untrained inner senses. The souls floats like a body in the dead sea or perhaps like new age people in flotation tanks. They have no sense of direction or ability at propulsion.

But when our tall ship comes by, it brings winds of wonder and the desire for [spiritual] knowledge and exploration. This is actually a minority desire. So, few souls reach towards the ship with love. But for those that do, an escape from greyness [and confusion of the afterlife world] is possible. We have classes for souls on spiritual navigation, maps and territories, and on mercy.

When the soul leaves the body [at death], it enters into a half-sleep. There is a chaotic jumble of sensations and memories, and the soul will float without an anchor or gravity.

When karma takes over, the soul who has been violent or cruel is caught by the storm winds and thrown into more negative worlds or in some cases into hell worlds. Souls dominated by the passions are thrown into worlds of passion

But for those that have lived lives that are moral and spiritual, their inner eyes may suddenly open, and they will realize that they are between worlds. Those who belong to a specific religion may pray and meditate in that tradition asking for heaven or a good rebirth.

Those souls not within the guardrails of a religion have more freedom of choice. There are many ways to navigate the supernatural worlds, and using maps [of the inner worlds] may be especially useful.

It is at this point that the soul should call upon its guide or angel or higher spirit. It is always helpful to have a guide when moving through a land that you do not understand.

It is at this point that the Ship of Souls is able to perceive the light of the souls flashing in the waters and winds. Undeveloped souls will be invisible for they will not shine with spiritual light. The ship will go to the brightest lights which fit the theme [or goal] of the voyage.
